I hosted another crop today, not just because they help me destash (they do!), but because Freetown is a small hardship post, and it’s really great to get together and craft with friends! We have a lovely group of women here who are really into different kinds of art. It’s a real privilege to share my love of papercraft with them.
Before we really got started, I wanted to make a few cards that illustrated simple techniques–paper piecing, stamping, and embossing. To me, these are techniques that take a lot of time to do well, but don’t necessarily require the same skill that say, distressing, does.
I’m pretty sure that I first saw a design like this on Pinterest, but I don’t remember for sure. In any case, I love the pink embossing against the dark grey. It’s a bit unusual, and I think I’ll use the colors together again.
