I am desperately trying to get caught up on #1′s scrapbook before #2 is born. Bwa ha ha ha. Let me be very clear. There’s not a snowball’s chance in hell that it’s going to happen, but I’m really having a good time getting into a 12×12 groove.
Last week I printed five (FIVE!) photos of Jasmine in her first two months. They’re not the only ones I want to scrap, but they’re ones I definitely want to highlight in full page layouts, instead of pocket protectors.
I have two of those five photos left, and I’m hoping to get both of them scrapped this weekend. I can’t get over how tiny Jasmine was! And how she seemed to be sleeping in every single picture! I remember her being just as demanding of our attention as an infant as she is now, but perhaps my memory is clouded by my current experiences.
This layout is my first (almost) 100% kit layout. I pulled some buttons from my stash, but everything else is July’s Citrus Twist kit (scrapbook, PL, and add-ons) because I love Love LOVE it. I love the colors, that wonderful Crate Paper chevron paper, and the great Travel Girl embellishments. To get my mojo going, I took a quick peek over at Shimelle’s “BOBW” weekend of challenges. The challenge I picked asked us to use three 3×4 cards. I didn’t line them up as she suggested, but rather, fanned them out like a deck of cards, journaling on the top-most.
I’ve still got a ways to go before I’m satisfied with my 12×12 technique, but each layout gets better and better. I love this craft because the learning curve is so shallow. I’m seeing huge gains with very little effort, and that is awesome.
